Aeneas is the character that embodies the journey impulse into the unknown and the movement between knowledge and action through which the distance between reality and the image generator makes sense.

Requirements ( guidelines ) :

TEXT: The paper should be 1-5 pages long , title, 5 keywords, edited in Microsoft Word, font Times New Roman, size:12, 1,5 spacing, A4 format.

Note! The essay will be sent in two forms ( variants ): one in romanian and one in english.

IMAGE: a powerful image ( art, design, photography), or a short story in pictures.

MUSIC: a composition inspired by the theme lasting maximum 5 minutes.

VIDEO: a story in pictures reflecting a personal view and creativity.

MULTIMEDIA: IDEA-text-inage-music-video- the use of web resources.

Deadline : 15 november 2009

Winning essays announcement : 1 December 2009.

The jury is composed from public figures from România, USA, France, Sweden ( history, anthropology, literature, arts, philosophy, linguistics, political sciences, journalism, communication) with a transcultural vocation.

Judging regulations / prizes :

The main stake of the competition is creating cross-cultural concciousness in the global space by assuming the cultural heritage and intercultural dialogue.

The evaluation of the essays will begin from the following criterias:

- the presentation of the cultural heritage impact from the author’s perspective

- intercultural dialogue as a source of social progress

- stressing the necessity of civic implication in the context of globalization

The organizers of the competition incourage the participants to write the essays in a clear, concise and argumented maner.

The Intercultural Ecology Review opens www.talkinghouse.wordpress.com site to host the submitted essays. The registered feed-back from the users will be measured and integrated in the final assessment. Out of the amount of essays sent and posted, 30 essays will be selected from each category and gathered all in an to-be edited audiobook ( Text-Image-Audio) that will receive a broad promotion ( media fairs, cultural and educational centers) . Out of all essays received, after their evaluation, 30 of the best essays will be selected in the order determined by the jury.The papers will be published in a volume at Intercultura publishing house.

Out of the 30 essays selected for each category there will be awarded 3 prizes..The awards consist of a number of 10 volumes- 1^st prize , 2^nd prize,6 volumes and 3 volumes 3^rd prize, one volume for the authors of the papers selected.
